Things to do in the East Neuk
The East Neuk (Scots for "corner") has its own special character. The quaint coastal villages form a unique chain of holiday and fishing locations, with their warm stone architecture featuring white-washed crow-step gables, red pantiled roofs, steep cobbled streets and south-facing beaches.
The area boasts a wide variety of activities and interests all within easy driving distance. There is an extensive range of outdoor sports including some of the finest links golf courses in the country. For example, Crail Golfing Society which is the 7th oldest golf club instituted in 1786. Elie, Lundin Links and Kingsbarns. We also have in Anstruther an excellent 9 hole course just 2 minutes from the Guest House, where the 5th hole, "The Rockies" was voted the toughest Par 3 in the UK! We are also only 15 minutes from St Andrews, the seat of Scotland's oldest University and the Home of Golf.
